Something happens when it snows.
Large fluffy flakes drift from the darkened sky, and suddenly, the world becomes muted. Cars creep down side streets. Streetlights dim into shadowy beams. The blinds glow with the reflection of fake illumination. Cars huddle under coats of white. The night is quiet, and save for artificial light sparkling on snowflakes, a person would not know there was a world outside at all.
The world slows and quiets.
Today has been a silent day, a day for thoughts.
I love the muffled music of a snowy night...

Nicely stated, I have to say some of the best days are the ones where you can take a "mental day" and just spend time lost in thoughts.
I just got caught up reading the blog from the last time I looked in, and your previous post on Lewis was fantastic!
Please feel free to follow along with my blog anytime you're interested, I would love your input-

Thanks, JNB, for your comments! "Mental days" are just so necessary, and they are even better spent when there is a light snowfall, a warm cat, and a mug of cocoa :) I appreciate your comments about the Lewis post.
I have read your blog, and I love it. So informative and pertinent. Your thoughts are very powerful. Thank you!
Sounds like somebody is back in Indiana...I recognize those winter images :)
Yes, Indiana winters are full of snow, ice, and erradic drivers :) Must be nice to be in sunny Cali!
And yet, you would not friend Mother Nature?
